Nice job! An excellent idea, great balance, I agree with seaj about the iris thing... you might want to go back and make that iris a little more obvious (maybe take away that one wisp of hair?)

from memory the iris is quite difficult to make out in the original, but yes, I probably could go in there and emphasise it a bit more - now that attention is brought to it, it does look a bit odd.

Wow this is really striking even though it is mostly white. It doesn't look like she has an iris in her left eye. How did you do this?

her eyes are artificially coloured using a nice ice blue colour and then blended in using some photoshop blend modes.. can't remember now whether I used hue or color.
not sure now why her iris dissapeared - I hadn't noticed it before you pointed it out
