I had a testweek last week and today I finished my very last test. I made this to celebrate my newfound freedom! (and to spend my newfound time)WARNING! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! seriously don't, you'll break your nose. Flying is harder then I made it look. Especially when you're not a dragon.

This one is a bit more advanced. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I'm probrably not going to finish this, since it's 42 frames already and complex and all. So no colors or fancy background this time. But that doesn't matter since this gif is all about MOVEMENT. And in terms of movement I'm really happy with this.
NOSE DIVE! HOORAY!
By the way. Does someone know in what catagory GIFS should be submitted? DA keeps telling me that I can't submit in in the catagory I want! I had to put it in cartoons & comics in order to upload it. Stupid right?

but seriously amazing, I love the moment when he goes up again. But one tiny thing: I don't know if it's my internet or your animation but I notice there is a bit of lag when he comes down to dive.

O darn, I knew I'd forgotten something. I should have put a DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME warning in the description. I am very sorry.
The 'lag' is actually mean to be there. You are probrably used to animations in where every frame is the same length, but I personally like to play with the framelength to give the overall animation a more natural look. (funny, the part where the dragon goes up has a smaller framelength then the rest of the animation.)

ooh, well it's good you'll try things out. even though I believe that part will look slightly better with a frame or two more in it. that's odd it looks like most of the frames are in that part. maybe it are the transitions then.

I use photoshop. But I used to make animations with gimp. I don't know which one I prefer though. Photoshop has some nasty habits when it comes to animation.

Ahh okaay,, yeah i used gimp too, but i seem to have trouble with the amount of layers, it just becomes really messy. But maybe it's different now,, I haven't used gimp in quite a while...
