Description
Illustrated by the talented Sheather888.This 2m Ornithischian dinosaur was a member of the widespread and successful family Rhododromidae, which spread around the northern hemisphere during the Paleocene and Eocene. Descended from animals similar to Oryctodromeus, this group occupied the small, cursorial herbivore niche that Ornithischians have inhabited since the Late Triassic. Compsodromeus itself was found at the Late Paleocene fossil sites of Cernay and Berru in the land that is known as France in our timeline. As Rhododromids are known to have originated in North America, this suggests that the ancestors of this genus arrived in Europe via Greenland. Similar North American immigrants from roughly the same time include Chasmosaurine Ceratopsians and the Saurolophine Hadrosaur Romanorhinus. Unfortunately for Compsodromeus, the 3.5m Dromaeosaur Boreoraptor also made the crossing.

There's already a Dromaeosaur named Boreonychus.

Your Welcome. Okay. Have any Pterosaur descendants?

Yes i do. Pterosaurs are quite common in Alter Earth, ranging from toucan-like fruit eaters with 2m wingspans to huge scavengers the size of small aircraft.

Cool. What about doing a late surviving Spinosaur?

Funnily enough, I was thinking about creating a small, semi-aquatic Spinosaur that lives in Australia in the present day. All the animals you will see on my page for the time being will be extinct as right now I'm focusing on the fossil record of my speculative world.
