Another entry into the '80s art show. One of the most tragic images ever put to celluloid, burned into my tiny brain-warping me forever. Naturally, I've made my kids watch this over and over so they are just as crazy as I am. Just paying it forward, people.Related content

I still find this scene super sad, even though it's nearly 30 years since I first saw Neverending Story at the cinema... this and the scene where the Rock Biter feels responsible for losing his 'little friends' to the Nothing 'They look like good, strong hands don't they?' You've done a really great job with this!

awww meg..(battousaiblade7) i always cried at this. i remember when we found the german version and we cried and cried and cried at the music they added instead of what was in the english version. So when we played the soundtrack in the car we ball some more. Thats why we dont ride our beloved kenshin through the mud. we go around.

i have always loved/cried/hated this scene
i love that horse and i hated how his life came to an end, but i was so happy when he came back in the end
