Description
During The Holidays, People Are Allowed To Relax... Get Their Minds Off Work And Get Onto More Personal Projects. This Is One Of Mine.For Ages Now I've Wanted To Do A 3D Model Of One Of The Eva's From The Anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, So Now That School's Over For The Year And Chrissy's Here (Well, Chrissy The Holiday, NOT Chrissy The Day, That's Been And Gone) I've Been Able To Get Serious About It. This Is Just A Preview Of The "l33+"ness To Come, By The End It'll Be A Fully Posable Complete Eva... Then With Some Colour Swapping On The Bodies And Some New Heads, I Might Actually Do The Entire Eva Series... Enjoy And Keep Watching For Further Updates.

In my own humble opinion the texturing is a bit too happy? But I'd assure you there's nothing wrong with the model - You model is pretty low polygon, it's a nice idea...sometimes I over construct the geometry. in the future it will be easy to rig and animate. You included some awesome wireframe render with it, better still, you rendered in a orthonal camera angle that reflects the archetectural style of works which appears pretty professional in the corner there. Currently, Blue background suits the model surfacing but I'm assuming you'll edit the surface to better suit the anime and increase the imitation. But anyways, If you are going to attempt to animate the complete evangalion series - which I bloody doubt - You should try to get a vacation somewhere...It'll take year. The test render is quite well made...nice job.

It Won't Take Years... The Great Thing About The Eva Series Is That All Of Them Are Pretty Closely Based On Each Other. I'll Admit That Unit 01's Torso Is A Little Different To The Rest, But Give Me An Hour And It'll Look Like It Was Modelled That Way All Along...
And Speaking About My Modelling Skills... It's Not Low Poly; It's Just Effective Time Management... There's No Need To Go Crazy Nuts Trying To Shift Twenty-Five Thousand Into The Positions You Want. When This Is Done, It'll Be Full Body Poses And Stuff, So Close Up Detail Is Pretty Much Just A Waste Of MY Time.
