Description
Yes, I am not good at digitally adding logos. The Malachite Muffin is made from various styrene pieces, the pedestal ones distressed with a Dremel cutter wheel to give wood grain, and the muffin top is Apoxie Clay.
See other deviations for more pics with and without the pith helmet.

The muffin was a spur of the moment thing. After making the strap across the front of the helmet, I had a little blob of mixed putty left. I decided I could cut a little section of rod and make it into a muffin prop. Then I decided it needed a pedestal, which went from stone to wood when my attempt to slice column detail into it with the Dremel cutting wheel went all swervey. For a few hours it was going to be the Sapphire Muffin, but then I decided it needed more alliteration and started looking up precious stones that start with M. It was pretty much malachite or millerite, and malachite has a much better pulp pedigree.
My creative process is rather whim-driven...it makes for a nice break from things like working up quantum mechanics lecture notes.

Derpy Doo! Love it! You did a nice job. I wish they would release the Blind Bags here.
