Can you believe that it is harder to create the final image than making sprites? man, it takes a lot to decide position, background, brightness, sizes, type of letters... but finally i think the result is pretty neat.

So, SNK and Tencent games announced a new game, Metal Slug CODE:J (i don't know if it is a provisional name), with cool new designs of characters and recreating some parts of classic games. As i made before with Metal Slug Zero , i decided to make sprites based in new designs. THE GAME looks worth, gameplay looks agile and frenetic as always, also double jump is a mechanic that can be interesting. however, there are a few things that don't convince me, like auto aiming, damage system and lacking of one-hit-death system. I'm not going to speculate anything and i'm going to expect for a balaced funny game.

Making the characters was curious, most because new designs have a lot of details, straps here! metal part there! gloves for everybody! and other things that look great, but are hard to make in sprites, well, even with that, the hardest part to do was facial expression (as always). Btw, it's just me, or rendered designs are not the same that the models used in the game?

if you are going to "share" this in another social network sites, it would be nice to give credit (specially cause facebook blocked me again for issues with lolis)
