it'd also be pretty nice if you rounded the address bar

take a [link] at real safari... you see this theme is close enough to osx's original, and i think this authors goal.

again, really great theme might I suggest a matching icon for gmail notifier?

I've also noticed that the stop button disappears when there's nothing to be stopped...is that supposed to happen? Also when I load firefox sometimes all that is there is the home and compact menu buttons and I have to re-add the back, forward, and refresh buttons....I'm kinda confused about that.

I just updated to firefox 1.0.3 so...

i had the same problem. fix (maybe some menu items have incorrect names, that's because i've got russian version): right-click panel (somewhere between buttons), click Navigational panel; then again r-click - customize. now remove all items from lower panel and drag all items from higher to lower panel. you should see exactly the same panel, and higher panel should disappear. i've also noticed that sometimes address field don't work so you have to re-add it... fixed ion previous sentence
if it still don't work than reverse panels (higher=lower, lower=higher).
about stop button: that's a feature of osx's safari.
PS: don't know if it work in 1.0.3, but it surely does in 1.0.2.

E-r-i-C, Hi outhere Great skin
but I have a *little* problem... Check out this [link] Problem described in Artist's Comments.
PS: and it would be real super-cool if you make this theme in Aqua...

I've gotta say, this is an awesome theme.

One quick question, though: would you consider doing the same theme with, say, a background that used system colors (instead of brushed metal)? This is hands-down the best Firefox theme that I've seen for 1.02, and it'd be a real shame to have it relegated to brushed metal visual styles.

erm...at first thank you, but i already tried to do this...it does not work...perhaps its cuz i got firefox 1.02...if i download the file with the theme-download-funktion it tells me that the file is incorrect and has some failures/errors...and drag'n'drop doesnt work also!

The fit and finish of this theme looks excellent. But I have to wonder: Why are there so many Safarai wannabe themes for Firefox lately? The category is filling with themes that all look like Safari or are rather low-fi. Is it a fetish or something?

Dragoon412 In reply to braytonak [2005-04-13 16:25:03 +0000 UTC]

I think it's in large part because everyone's trying to one-up the last guy. Most Safari type themes I've seen lately (like Susumu's and Spiral's) are all designed for Firefox 1.0PR, and who the hell wants to downgrade their Firefox installation and track down old versions of extensions for a theme?

This is the only high-quality Safari type theme I've seen for the new versions of Firefox. And if you're sick of Safari themes, blame the guys developing Firefox for changing the theme interface with every piddling point release.

I thought that the themes and extensions were working fine with the updated FF versions? At least, mine have. I thought I had seen something in an about:config line, or maybe it was in one of those configuration XML files that would force FF to disable themes and extensions prior to [link] release version. Thus, a newer version with the same line as the older one would behave normally.

MINIMALIST

braytonak In reply to doudou2toi [2005-04-01 03:57:18 +0000 UTC]

Minimalist? The only thing minimal is the creativity for new ideas lately. The only thing changing is the colour. Eric did a great job on this skin, even though it looks like all the others. Like I said, the themes are starting to follow each other like lemmings, or they lack sensibility.

Minimalism is a kind of a hard that makes a thing full of functions and easy to use at the same time (maybe have i used a "minimalistic" adjective, but you should have understood that)
