Description
Part 1 of an Illustration 3 project:This is Joan of Arcadia.
The project was to compare 2 figures, one contemporary and one historical. I chose to compare Joan of arc and Marilyn Monroe, why you ask?
Both were the most famous women of their generation. Marilyn Monroe and Joan of arc were both poor, and worked their way to fame. Finally both of these powerful women died at a young age. (Joan was only 19.)
This took quite a while, which Is why I haven't gotten around to a commission yet. I am very proud of this piece though.
Done in Painter X.

Burn witch! Burn!
Hehe, and the flames that blew the dress upwards is also a nice Marilyn reference ... in the middle ages this might as well be indecent behaviour in the public
I like it (has not to mean anything, as i nearly like most witch hunt related artwork ), especially how the flames light the environemnt, sparks and smoke drifting upwards, her dress and hair blowing around ... what i am not so sure about is her facial expression ... she looks a bit ... dizzy ... maybe because of the smoke and heat, but i think she should scream and show pain/agony ...

I love having the pleasure of watching/critiquing all of these masterpieces
I feel honored to see the whole process, something a lot of other followers might miss out on.
