Description Yes I guess I'm still kinda bitter about all the dismantling of our education system, but hey--Ain't we got fun!

You're preaching to the choir here. I'm studying to become an art teacher...nothing quite like knowing you're walking directly into the endlessly frustrating situation of perpetually underfunded public school programs to keep you motivated. We all deserve better. I love this piece!

Ah hell, ya know it all fits together somehow, someday, somewhere. Art is the looking glass that Allice poked a look through. Unless you can let go you aren't going to tolerate the time it takes to figure it out. It hasn't stopped people painting though right?

thank you for your feedback. My mom was a teacher for 35 years as well, and things have only changed in a decidedly downward direction in the 20 years I've been an educator. I still love showing up every day, still love making a difference though. I call it "anti-logic". Like the USS Enterprise is powered by a matter/antimatter reaction education is powered by a logic/antilogic reaction. Sometimes you get a little too much anti matter in the ole containment vessel but all in all you still get it done.

And So it goes...so it goes...

By the by Lincoln Center has a very amazing series of weeklong workshops for educators including art educators each summer.
