this bar with the 4 folder look buttons(like in leopard), what is it and is it compatible with vista?

neil, you mean the toolbar? with the buttons and searcbox? It is called Styler Toolbar, and no, not available in Vista, and no equivalent. Probably the Holy Grail of Vista theming.

Hey Husaini, I missed one major point above, you want a Graphite version of Grafire? Hmm, it is no longer set to inherit system scrollbars...ok. a few days...

Ruben, Are you saying that you have copyrighted/patented the idea? WHAT IS THIS!!! Anyway, the original idea was Apple's
I'll admit that your screenshots gave me the ideafor the WB. But that is all, as far as that goes. i make my own graphics/images. You can download all my releases and you'will see lots of image templates. I left them there to guide other interested parties. JEEZ!!! LOL!!!
So you want credit for this. is that it?

Looks great but there is a glitch with the scrollbar
Thanks for sharing!

jake, if you meant the slider overlapping the inner-side arrow, that's not a glitch. just to have images of both arrows on one side. does not affect functio though.

Now that I look at it, and slide the scrollbar, I notice that it does work fine. It is different in that it overlaps. Is that what happens in Mac OSX or something you did for variety?
Thanks again; love your themes.

jake, it's not supposed to overlap, as in mac. Its just that windows/windowblinds dows not allow repositioning of arrows. In Firefox and Linux/Ubuntu, it is possible, so i just played around with the images. I can put some padding in the slider to prevent overlapping, but the stupid WB ver 5.5 does not follow settings i made in skin studio 5.5. hmm, come to think of it, i'll re-try with skinstudio 6.2 and WB 6.2. thanks for reminding me.

~eamon,
Thanks for looking into a possible fix. I don't mean to add work to your already full plate. Hopefully you find a simple, quick fix.
Thanks again for sharing.
PS: I have a good buddy who lives in Guam; have you ever traveled there?

Dave, that is the actual color, a liitle on the bright side, xD. they are not grayscaled versions of the usual buttons. come to think of it, should have called it silver gray, hmm...

the context menu looks funky. is there supposed to be breaks, or is it just corrupt for me?

Ahh Dave, that is deliberate. I included some Safari for Windows (ver3.x) flavor. That is similar to the menu separators of Safari. The other sub-style (single bar) has regular context menu separators....

DavidtheDestroyer In reply to eamon63 [2009-05-17 22:29:34 +0000 UTC]
i'm not sure i like the separators. also, the scrollbar and all the graphite'ed things look too dark compared to the minmaxclose buttons, it stands out too much

eamon63 In reply to DavidtheDestroyer [2009-05-18 00:16:03 +0000 UTC]
dave, you can always use the menu item image/separators of the other ('single' sub-style. You lready released your own Proto skin so I'm sure you know how. Same thing for the color tones.
It is really difficult to satisfy each individual's tastes, you know how it is. If you are up to it, you can always edit the theme and release your own version, I don't mind. It is supposed to be the purpose of this community. Just don't forget me hehe. Cheers.
