this is a copic marker commission of michael turners aspeni just started using these copic markers and they are amazing and expensive to use...i can believe the range they have...so far there isnt a texture i havent been able to do with these....rocks, water, cloth....
sorry i have been gone for so long....holidays and all u know...plus i have some news for those of u that care..my love has moved in with me...so that turned my life upside down..and we are now engaged...and we couldnt be more happy....needless to say i dont have as much time to post those novel long descriptions anymore....which is too bad cause i learned a lot the last few i did...i have about 12-15 full copic's under my belt which in not a lot but i feel i learned a great deal...
i was asked to do a sexy aspen for a female fan of mine and for some reason this came out...not realyl sexy at all....oh well...
the only thing not done in copic's is the sun beems that was done in white charcoal pencil and some of the bubbles were done in white paint type crap...
im very happy with this piece cause i had the balls enough to try something ive never attempted b4, im not a colorist or a painter and have done nothing similar to this....but those who watch me have read that i dont let fear stop me from growing....
it was not easy fading a blue into skin tone with markers and no experience...
anyways...im off to go have some sex with my fiance

I've been dipping into copics too (slowly, here they go for about $10 a piece), it's one of those once you go copics it's hard to go back deals. You're doing amazingly great work with them for someone who says they aren't a colourist.

Awesome image! The pose is great; very fluid and her hands and hai really add to the sense of weightlessnes. That turtle is great! I think you've done a great job with your colour selection, staying with enough tones to be interesting, but all muted enough to be unified in that monochromatic feel. Fantastic work!

nice work with the copics. you keep improving! what kind of paper you use? i want to get better at them but get scared to waste them coz here they cost $12 each

i use strathmore bristol board smooth...and they are expensive and only $5-7 each over here....and i buy the refills too...another 6-8$ but for me they are worth it

no blender...i only use blenders as white out...when i need to erase something i use that...

Fantastic piece. Copics are really good markers with their range in colors and ability to blend together and agreed they can dent the wallet.
Usually I see them going for around $5, but one place that seems to have a steady supply and for around $4 is a store called Carpe Diem.

heh...NO way!!! i by my shit there...and i dont have to buy them online cause its close enough for me to drive...and i they have all the refils too...
this other store closer to me has them for 7.45 each and no refill...lame!!!
