this is a copic marker commission of michael turners aspeni just started using these copic markers and they are amazing and expensive to use...i can believe the range they have...so far there isnt a texture i havent been able to do with these....rocks, water, cloth....
sorry i have been gone for so long....holidays and all u know...plus i have some news for those of u that care..my love has moved in with me...so that turned my life upside down..and we are now engaged...and we couldnt be more happy....needless to say i dont have as much time to post those novel long descriptions anymore....which is too bad cause i learned a lot the last few i did...i have about 12-15 full copic's under my belt which in not a lot but i feel i learned a great deal...
i was asked to do a sexy aspen for a female fan of mine and for some reason this came out...not realyl sexy at all....oh well...
the only thing not done in copic's is the sun beems that was done in white charcoal pencil and some of the bubbles were done in white paint type crap...
im very happy with this piece cause i had the balls enough to try something ive never attempted b4, im not a colorist or a painter and have done nothing similar to this....but those who watch me have read that i dont let fear stop me from growing....
it was not easy fading a blue into skin tone with markers and no experience...
anyways...im off to go have some sex with my fiance

Oh did someone give you trouble because of it? or you just feel doing comic work is too much of a hassle?
In any case i do love the piece and i think you did great justice to the character while still being original!
Yeah of course! i'd love to see ass and chest in this case, but anyway it's not a huge detail
I suppose it is different down there? it doesn't change much up here..i can go to another city and the price is more or less the same which is a bummer! but yeah keep up the good work with them! i look forward to seeing the next piece you do!

The textural work is simply mindblowing. Love how it keeps the spirit of the character with your personal expression. And i think it turned out sexy in a sort of inconscient way. The armour is beautiful and the quantity of details are stunning. The anatomy is realistic and the pose elegant

I'm always amaze by the detailing In drawing and love to spot all of them. It makes the art pièce even more enjoyable to my eye. And your art deserves well thought comment because they are well thought and composed piece

You may not this is sexy, but I certainly do.
Outside of the late Micheal Turners work, I don't think I've seen a prettier Aspen.
(And that's pushing a line there, 'cause Ole Mike was found of "ultra-thin" women, something I have a hard time abiding by.)
I love the textures here as well as the colors.
(JD Smith could have some competition soon, methinks⦠)
My only complaint here is I'd rather see more detailed texturing on the armor.
I still have a #0 Preview of Aspen, and the armor her fellow merfolk use is very organic and exceptionally rough, not unlike coral.
Anyway, love the work!

its mostly out of my head...i looked online for that kinda water reflection but couldnt find any...so i looked at the guy that colored the book and there was a few there that i used for inspiration

I really like the coloring Eric. Especially the top of the water. It kinda reminds me of 's smoky kinda of coloring style, and I think it works really well for water. And I think she is sexy. I mean, do you really have to go overboard sexy all the time? It's like she's not trying to be sexy, so she is. Oh, and congrats about your girlfriend moving in - you really learn a lot about people when you live with them. Good luck to the both of you, and your sex lives (hey you brought it up!).
