I photographed an event for Triple J last week - Alex Dyson (one of the weekend presenters) was turning 21, so they held a party for him at the Hi Fi Bar.I spent quite some time standing on the stage, waiting for the intelligent lights to pick people out so I could snap them. These are a few I rather liked.
I would like to point out that
a) Intelligent lights are ridiculous to shoot with, because people are never lit for more than a second.
b) These were accordingly shot at ISO 2500.
c) I have a law exam in an hour and a half. DO NOT WANT.
Title comes from a line from Don DeLillo's Cosmopolis: "He looked at Eric and smiled at the idea of being here, among American teenagers in stylized riot, with music that took you over, replacing your skin and brain with digital tissue."

love them! so much more mood and complexity than those shots you see of 'in' people in clubs in newspapers and mags. there's something very film-stills-like about them, also detached voyeurism.

The lights are freaking cool though, you should get a lot of models in a room and do that, it would look awesomely fashion.

I've been reading on this D700 - it makes my camera look like a disposable kodak. Haha I know that a good camera doesn't make a good photographer but in eckyducky's case a good camera makes a good photographer even better.

Nice. Very nice. I especially like how you managed to tell a story in each of the frames. Very simple organization, so it's quite... "comfortable" to look at.
