Edgy animu girl -> maid -> classy woman -> edgy animu girl with fuller eyebrows.The first drawing was when I first doodle on MS Paint ever of an anime person, without a tablet and such. Probably 30 minutes. The second one was finished September of 2011. Third in 2013. Most recent just now, 2017.
I took a really really long break for a few years, haha! Way too busy with school.

The last one was posted sometime like early 2013? That's like 4 years ago. I haven't drawn much in the past few years, but I do think I've improved on facial proportions (even in a stylized form; my aesthetics have shifted) and stroke technique. I think I won't do the hair the same way (I think it's really nice in the newest one, but I don't think it meshes well with the way I draw the other things; I'd like to go for a more uniform quality across the board rather than putting all the jazz in one place). I've shifted to more simpler expression of hair. I really enjoy background and clothing now.
I think people sometimes are disappointed in redraws, expecting change in one direction; I see it partially as improvement, and partially as a change in interests and style. I've definitely had people before saying they liked older versions, and I get that; some styles are more popular with people than others. But I do think it's nice to see what kinds of things an artist has been exploring.
I can maybe get back to drawing again once I graduate this semester... I haven't really put forth much art since 2013, compared to before. Pretty excited, though I'm afraid I'll be so out of practice and tired to do it.
