A quickie portrait of the Pokemon Manectric in an OC session with . Not often you see these around. I was just shifting through my cards, trying to figure out what to do for the next few hours then came up with doing this Pokemon.The fur was fun to do actually. I did all sorts of wild strokes that probably do not all go together.
Maybe two hours for this, including the full body line art you can find here: [link] No references besides a trading card which is not doing anything like what is seen here.

Nice work! I think the fur came out really well, especially considering Manectric has quite an unusual head design, so it can be tricky to figure out how a more realistic version would look.

Yah, I wondered about the hair. I did not think ahead when I started Manectric other then I wanted to try one. I got to the head and went -> x.x' I was not sure what to do with it, so I just made it all hair.

I really liked the realism attempt here. Better than anything I eould've done because personally ... I think I suck when it comes to canines howling ... it's not that easy for me to draw!

The fur looks harder than usual, but that actually works quite well. It gives a nice effect, I like it =^_^=

Often it's very soft, more blurry/transparent lines. You used a harder brush, as in less smoothing on the edges

Both works just fine. I would use both
I always draw the fur differently, I rarely do one type of fur again (not identically at least, though some might be similar)
