Personality: Selene Moon Shine is a slightly shy, yet brave and loyal to her friends. She's also clumsy and warm-hearted. She's also very strange at times.
Info: Selene Moon Shine is an alicorn werewolf pony hybrid. She's blind on the left eye from an accident from her past. Since she's a werepony, she has excellent sense of smell, hearing, and eyesight (only on the right eye). However, most ponies don't exactly like her because of her appearance, but she can be friends with them if she socializes with them. She also can use magic really well due being a unicorn as a filly.
Powers/Abilities: Enhanced Senses, Great with magic
History/Backstory/Origins:
Her story begins when she was a regular unicorn filly with her twin sister, Mizu Moon Shine. Her father was an artificial alicorn, while her mother was a regular unicorn. However, when she met Luna, she started studying to be her student. Eventually, she was a student with Blazing Sun, and both of them became fast friends.
The two of them studied together until marehood, which meant that Blazing Sun had to go to Ponyville, and Selene wanted to go as well, but Luna said she had to wait before she could.
A few weeks later, Selene was invited to the Gala, happy to go, she immediately got a dress and went to the Gala as early as possible. However, she realized something was wrong.
Selene decided to go outside the gala ball to see what it was, until she heard growling behind her. She turned around, it was wereponies! Selene ran away from the wereponies, afraid of being attacked. However, she saw that they were getting closer to her, so she picked up a stick and threw it at one of them, knocking it back.
A werepony pounced on her and she blacked-out.
Selene later woke up in Ponyville Hospital, with Mizu next to her, who was worried about her and helped her go to the hospital. The doctor gave her bandages, but they healed quickly, except for the scar on her left eye.
Selene Moon Shine didn't know if she was OK or not, but alicorn wings popped out behind her and she started to freak out, until Luna stopped her and explained that her sister (Mizu) turned her into an alicorn. If she didn't, she would of died. At first, Selene didn't understand, but Mizu explained that her father helped her. Selene thought that this helped her survive, but she was wrong.
Later that night, Selene returned to her home with the help of Mizu and Luna. Then the transformation began, turning her into a werepony. Selene realized that this was because of the scar and did some research to prove this, thus approving her theory.
Selene then practiced her new artificial alicorn status and werepony instincts and used them for good.

Why not just leave her as a unicorn? None of her talents/backstory give any reason for her to be an alicorn... Even if she wasnt one to start with and earned it, its still a bit overwhelming to not only be a hybrid. But also an alicorn. I think that maybe hybrid ponies(with other animals) would best be suited as Earth ponies(unless the mother/father is a unicorn/pegasi. or if its a bird hybrid) But theres no need for it to be a hybrid+an alicorn...

read the back story! I hate to sound rude but its very mary sue-ish... And not a legit reason to make a character an alicorn. Reading the backstory there seemed to be absolutely no need to have her as an alicorn, as the werepony in her healed all of her wounds. The story would be MUCH MUCH better if the character didnt have a close relationship with the princesses (due to it making them more mary sue) And just have her meet this other character in ponyville. then the other pony becomes friends and invites her to the galla where all the drama happens. THEN instead of her turning into an alicorn AND a werepony, just have her as a werepony and the werepony genes saved her from dying with the help of the canterlot hospital (Because the gala is NO WHERE near Ponyville, itd be silly to take an urgent care patient to a hospital many many miles away instead of the one in canterlot) And VOILA no more mary sue.
