Description
Two years after "Alleyway Troublemaker" Israel and Rumi would grow to trust each other more than just about anyone else, even if it meant Israel still had to rein in Rumi from time to time. Finally graduating at the age of 18 Rumi would celebrate by bringing back a bottle of saké that she swiped from a thug as "evidence". Mr. Arachnid would scold her for this as she was not old enough by the laws of Japan to drink yet but realizing that she'd just do it anyway somewhere he couldn't keep an eye on her he relented and allowed it so long as she didn't get too crazy.

In her drunken babbling she'd let slip that Mr. Arachnid was basically the only person that she felt she could trust with just about everything. He was admittedly flattered to hear this despite his annoyance at his pupil and he couldn't lie to himself, despite Rumi being well... Rumi, he couldn't deny he was proud of how far she had come. So, for the first time in what felt like a century he lightened up and decided to drink with her. Drinking did indeed loosen him up and he started telling his story, his full story.

His story about how he was unable to save his world, how he ended up here becoming a hero from the late 1950's onwards, how he fought a villain called All For One for over a century and watched many heroes including his daughter die at his hands only to finally be put down by him and All Might a few years ago. Emotions high and tears flowing Rumi was surprised to see this side of her mentor. He had sacrificed so much in his life, lost his friends and family and had apparently been living a solitary life until she dropped into his life. She made him feel like he had a reason to live again, and he even let slip that he was so proud of her.

Rumi was caught off guard by this and amazed by his story and although she'd never admit it out loud, she adored his praising of her as no one had ever spoken of her that way, she had always had to rely on just herself until she found him. He didn't just train her, he fed her when she couldn't afford it, gave her a place to stay when she needed it, acted as a reference when working with other hero agencies, and as much as she liked to mess with him, he was good company and always pushed her to keep getting better. She liked him, so after a few more drinks well... One thing led to another.
