How I did the Jay!? Simple, I draw him with normal ink. I scan it and put the color. I would say what help it's I put the image first (the 1th layer) in multiply and then I put the color using different layers. There is nothing complicated in this image. You just have to know the tool in photoshop.
We can do many thing in photoshop!
