Well, now I see you're using a Mac, no wonder I've never heard of the software. I've experimented with "Mind Boggling Fractals" before which utilizes orbital trapping. I love Newtonian fractals a lot, Great work!

There is surprisingly little programs available for Mac Users, however there are some good ones (I do enjoy Fractal Domains a lot and I need to find some scripts or read some tutorials for Oxidizer before I continue using it).

This particular Newtonian fractal is not a julia set like Cupric Sulfate, and I find I really enjoy these fractals as their parents as interesting patterns emerge

There are so many for the PC platform that it makes it difficult to choose which to use. I like to use different programs and then blend the results together using logical operators.

So that's how you do it! It really makes for smooth blending based on that method! I've tried some other programs, but the freeware version really didn't work out well and none of them are open source (except Oxidizer), so I just settled on picking my favorite, sucking up the license fee, and going from there

It sounds like Fractal Domains is quite versatile.

From what I've seen, it looks similar to fractal explorer in terms of style and capabilities, but it is less flexible than UF.
