I’ve seen this idea done a few times.. and I just couldn’t resist it c:Aye, it’s fluffy... but I’ve crossed the line again... because I picked a plant for each of the other main characters..
They are as follows (right to left): a young sweet basil in need of love for Farrere, as he likes cooking.. and he’s sweet and tasty? IDK
A cyclamen for Harry, as they enjoy the cold, they’re always thirsty and they’re damn near impossible to kill. A young camellia for Cam, as Jack and Iggy used to call her “Camellia” c:And the rose? Well. Duh
This is the first time I feel like I’ve drawn Iggy’s tail as I really see it... by no means is it supposed to be pretty xD It’s also, like, dextrous all the way through, like a monkey tail, not a dog’s. Yup.
Also, yes, the “fragile” warning is a joke aimed at Iggy’s emotional volatility... Did I just kill it? I did, didn’t I? CB

Sorry for such a late reply! These characters are from an "internet novel" of sorts that I've been writing for the last.. 5 years xD It's called "Mottley's Crew" and all the chapters and art thus far are in respective folders in my gallery

You know, that's something I like about Iggy - his passion for plants. For those who don't know him, it would seem like an irony, in a way. He comes across as sooooo abrasive (and I hate to throw this out there but maybe just a teensy bit homophobic.... not like homophobic like he hates Harry but homophobic as if he's kind of a tiny bit freaked out that it exists.... I'm not making sense, never mind) Anyway, what I was getting at there was his masculinity.... what ever, you get what I mean, I'm sure. So him being so good with plants (especially flowers) would be the last thing some outsider would probably guess about him.
Anyway, that's what I like about him. It's the same with ALL of your characters. They all have so many layers and so much depth to their personalities. Your characters are NOT caricatures. They don't fall neatly into any single category, just like real people. Labels do not stick neatly to real people because we're all a little bit of this and a little bit of that, even though we all try to throw labels and categories around.
Okay, I'm really probably making way too long a comment for such a simple picture (simple in composition, not in technique.... your work is amazing) but I guess it all boils down to this:
This picture illustrates the general reason why your characters are so wonderful. They feel very alive because even one person is infinitely diverse.
And that's the moral of my story. XD XD XD (Guh, and another girl was just complaining today about how long my replies were and I responded "I'm verbose, if nothing else." I guess I really lived up to that just now. And here I keep going! Ah! Sorry! I do this on answering machines too! AAAHH!! And I'm doing it some more! I'll shut up now! Sorry!

can't remember if i've commented before, but i just wanted to say again that i love this piece! i love the clear background, and the box with fragile and the plants, and the simple shadows under the plants and iggy looks great, everything about this one i adore. wish i could favorite it twice ^^ lovely.

I have to get this out about his tail. To me it looks like it begins too far up his back, well...lower back instead of where the tail bone should be on a human. Unless...his tailbone actually is that high up, lol.

This is absolutely precious. You are amazing at drawing flowers and it astounds me. And Iggy just looks so darn cute and unsuspecting. Love the symbolism of the box too.

But on the other hand...your fluff DOES look epic on a white background... IDK why.
Actually I think the backgroundlessness lends itself to the simplistic set-up of this picture. (read: simplistic set-up of a trap set up by an idiot -- or set up FOR an idiot? hmmmm.)
I LOVE the plants you chose for them all. I feel I would have attributed each character to its correct symbol if you hadn't revealed which was whom. (Is it whom, or who, in this case?)
Just...somehow...those flowers LOOK like each of them.
What would Iggy be?
I love the way his pose means his pants fall down a little. Lol. that's what happens when I do that, 'cause all my belts are faily.

IGGY'S FLOWER WOULD BE A SECRET~ 8D (the worst kept secret out of all my secrets, actually. Iggy's flower is the violet that's been mentioned a couple of times as a weed in the story.. or maybe just once.. I can't remember. That violet is a METAPHOR-LADEN MOTIF in much the same way the roses are. Yup)
I dread whatever happens when I bend over like that.. as I own no belts.. thank God I can't see behind myself D:
