Hmm.. where to begin...(the sketch for this looked really good.. it was just one of those ones that looked awesome right from the off... and then I scanned it >_> )
Uhm *nervous* .. this is part of a little episode I've had in my head for quite awhile, so I decided to finally draw it.
You see.. those of you who've paid attention might remember that when a Member of Fabric "runs out" of blood it becomes their responsibility to forfeit their life in order to pass their role onto another.
Michael has always been very eager to enforce this rule - especially on Karma (he never liked him- well, he doesn't really like anyone, but he dislikes Karma especially). I've got it planned as a sort of sick running joke between them... that Michael's always trying to do Karma in at inappropriate times (mostly they're civil with each other, though).
This was his third attempt, and the closest he came to succeeding. The first two times Michael tried to kill him based on suspicion, but the time depicted here Michael actually tested Karma's blood (see excessive bite mark.. and yessum, Karma's blood is silver) to find, to his joy, it had indeed stopped flowing.
Particularly driven by righteousness, Michael would definitely have killed Karma if Waffen and Jimmy hadn't saved him. Waffen's a great trump card against Michael, because he's the only Member who does not care one iota about the rules.. and thus would have bent them and abused his power to the extent required to kill Michael in Karma's defence. Michael backed down.. smart boy
The aftermath is a low point with a little fluff stuck to it.. because Karma gets to feel physically cold and drained for several weeks.. but Waffen gets to look after him.. not that that is much of a plus, because Waffen takes it seriously.. and serious!Waffen is grim to behold. H-hey.. does anyone want me to write out that bit? Seeing as it's sweet I thought you might want it.. but only if you do D:

...T^T I just want to give him snuggles. It came out very well, it looks like it'd be a wonderful sketch as well... the lines seem to lend themselves very well to black and white but I do appreciate color ^^

omg, this scared me O_o I can't look at the picture for a long time, I want to hide away. Well, I'm glad the cavalry gets there in time to save Karma. Michael scares me. I don't know why, but the fact that Death is Irish might be the scariest thing about him.
Anyway, now I want fluff. Pretty please. I need to see serious!Waffen. But I'd also like to see this whole scene with Michael and Karma written :3

what i mean by all this tomfoolery is that my, what a lovely picture- there's a lot of really great tension in the lighting and the set of their bodies and especially in the set of karma's jaw and brow. so yes. i, for one, am SUCH a sap for a good hurt/comfort story, and you, my dear, have pushed all the right buttons. ^^
