*EDIT 6-4-2013* I know you might be wondering why this is appearing in your notifications again, but I 'remastered' this image by fixing some of the major errors of this work and also making some lighting adjustments. I hope you like this version better

*EDIT* I figured out what was bothering me - there was too much negative space in the sky, and Jack's knee was flat! I added some northern lights to fill the space and make the scene colder (and prettier) over all, and I also added a little reflective light to his knee to add depth. Hope you like the additions.

I believe this was the first work of yours I saw, and it still enchants me. The attitude, the ambience, and the atmosphere combine seamlessly and easily.
Frost's persona here, whether or not based on Rise of the Guardians (normally, I wouldn't assume such a thing, but there is a visual resemblance) is graceful and comfortable. There might be some slight anatomical trouble with the right leg, but I can't quite tell. Even so, his stance, his action, and his attitude are all perfect.
The city embodies what we think of when we read about a 'blanket of night'--the cloud cover and general silhouette feel of the city is perfect. The moon and stars (not to mention the aurora) seem to imply that time is passing slower above the cloud cover than below--a nice touch, in-keeping with the mythos.
The color composition is very well done; the stark contrasts between the lanterns and their surroundings, the subtle blends of the aurora, and the moonlight in the clouds, are all carefully applied and cared for. And you even underlit Jack--that's one of those details that makes a good project great.
I love this piece! It's dreamlike, surreal and in a way nostalgic.
I applaud your masterpiece, and wait eagerly to see your next one!

Hi, i'm collin but you can call me lexo and let me start off by saying the lighting and texture shows vividly in your art. You show an obvious contrast in Jack's eyes, the aurora borealis, and the fire in the lamps. This is truly wonderful and the only thing i see that could be worked on is the dimensional value of the lamp tops. other than that, is is very cute and beautiful! Also, I look forward to seeing deviations from you soon and i will definitely become a new watcher of yours!!!!!

For the technique, I nitpick but there are perspective's errors and forgettings.
The street lamps and the backround haven't the same vanishing point and the top of the first street lamp go in a incorrect dicrection.
Too, we can see a cloud in the first street lamps but the building doesn't appear.
It's details but I would underline them.

You earned that DD. I've not seen this movie/read the novel. I've seen a lot of fan art, but this one has a great appeal to someone who hasn't. It's beautiful and inspires you to think of that first snow. Excellent work.

I do not know the character but it reminded me of my favorite Peter Pan scene. Beautiful night sky, great job at making a dark and still clear night scene, imho it's something tricky to do well.
