I can't wait for that either, but I may go with the majority and get an Ipod since my Zune keeps screwing up on me. :\

Do you have the older version? How old is it? And have you used your Zune on more than 3 computer user accounts? Because Zune has an automatic record system of filesharing with other Zunes that keeps music from being shared more than thrice. Its in the license agreement, which nobody reads! X3

Anything specific happening to your Zune? Also, what size and model? I can tell you WHATEVER you need to know about Zune. I've even been into the official Zune dedicated Microsoft Campus Building in Redmond Washington. By dad works for live, but still... I've seen some pretty rediculously awesome things.

I think its battery problems because it dies at 3/4 or 1/2 life. :\

By computer accounts you mean how many computers my zune has been plugged it in or user accounts? O_o

Any way, its a 80GB black that I got in Jan. 2008.

Well, if its battery problems send it in. Its not your fault. Well... It could be your fault. =/ Did you run the batteries dry, or did you charge it at 3/4 or half a lot? If you leave it charged and charge it some more, it can develop a memory, even though the Zunes use lithnium-ion.

Well, thats not that old. I think its just you didn't let it run as low as possible before you charged it. iPods will do the same thing if you treat it like that. All rechargeable batteries develop memories.

When you use your new player that you want to get, make sure you run it until it shuts itself off. Also, don't leave it synced with your computer for long periods of time, or listen to it while its synced.

I run it untill it dies.

The only thing that might have a conection is when I didn't use it for 2 or 3 months, but It was working fine for five months. I dropped it a couple of times, but those happen way before the battery thing happen.

The Shuting off randomly thing just happens and continuing. O_o

The shutting off randomly can be that you unplugged it from the computer without removing it through the remove device screen, or by ejecting it. That can cause code malfuntions, and the only thing that can help is software updates, which is actually coming pretty soon, along with the new xbox dashboard with twitter and facebook and all that crap. they're fixing a couple bugs.

Also, the shutting off can be because you dropped it. Since the larger Zunes use harddrive disks instead of solid state memory blocks like the smaller Zunes, they are more prone to damage and watershock, which can create instabilities in the harddrive casing, which can cause it to force a shutdown so the harddisk wont get scratched or broken. =/ Warrenty won't cover shock/water damage though, which sucks, but it will repair broken software on your zune player, but you have to back up all of your music onto your computer because they essentially wipe your entire zune.

Yeah... On XP and Vista there is, on the expandable toolbar on the bottom of the screen, a little gray symbol with a green circle next to it. You're supposed to click that and choose, "Safely Remove". Didn't you know that?

A lot of people don't know that, so if you didn't its okay.

I thought it was only for flash/exturnal drives. XD

Oh well, guess I have to wait for the update. XD

Yeah. It might not fix it though. Unplugging early can also cause power surges that can damage the battery and the processor. I forgot about that. =/

...Just hope its the software, no?
