Description Here is Pisces from my Zodiac team in character sheet style by request. He was always the one I was most unsure about and liked the least up until recently. I originally had him as kind of a super soldier but this was not very interesting to me and Sagitarius was already the highly skilled gun-totting member of the team. I spent a long time on his costume and powers and came up with this. His powers are now based on an ancient sea creature and ...well just read it for yourself.

That is all twelve signs of the Zodiac. They are all in my gallery now. Some more than once. Maybe now I can get back to doing some comics.

Not how I'd have thought a hero based on Pisces would be depicted. Considering the traits one usually associates with Pisces. I'd probably have given him psychic abilities or something along those lines. Not that it isn't awesome, because it surely is. Very cool. And I love the Otter concept.

One of my favorite Zodiac members! His pose is nice and dramatic. He looks muscular but sleek at the same time, like an Olympic swimmer or somthing. It’s really too bad that it seems like he doesn't get a whole lot of love from fans; he has a ton of potential.

there are some that really like him but I did portray him as kind of a jerk when he was first introduced. Thanks for the fave on this as it is kind of an old piece. I have an updated version of his bio in my gallery.

I wondered if there was anyone else who liked Pisces. I agree that he was a jerk when he debuted, but then I noticed that even after he explained his actions and was acting.... not as crazy as before, some pple still were giving him flack.

Anyways, thank you for drawing this (as well as your other pictures). I think I missed his updated pic somehow, I'll have to look thru your gallery again.

Hmm. You have a valid point. Vixens and cats seem to dominate the anthro comics and art scene by a longshot with maybe rabbits and dogs coming in close behind. When I made this team, I wanted to make sure that each team member was a different species. Pisces took me a long time to decide on but otter seemed a good choice for a sign that was so closely tied to water.

Interesting that a character you once least liked turns out to be one of the better-designed (IMO) characters on the team. I think that's how it usually goes. I read through the profile, and I didn't notice anything that stuck out (for some reason I didn't catch the pressure notation twice).... it's a little wordy, but probably about the same as the [link] profiles, back in the day. These days, the average attention-span is about 5 blinks-of-the-eye so if I could find a way to make everything more succinct, I'd do it.

I too, love the background creepie. It took you what, like 15 minutes and that's it?!? Tomorrow, I can see you holding up a blank sheet of paper, "I wonder what I can draw today....ACHOOO!!!!!" You sneeze on the paper and it suddenly transmorphs into a work of art.... While I'm over in my cubicle, breaking all of my pencils.

He looks awesome, man, I love how his face turned out. The line of action and pose work nicely, and while I wouldn't have thought it, green suits him nicely. One minor note: on his description, it says he can essentially take a lot of pressure twice. Also, it describes him as 'lean', but to me it looks like he's got fantastically muscular build for a mustelid, who are usually depicted as taller and with longer muscles than he has. This isn't to say I don't like the look, I think it's great, but I just wouldn't describe him as 'lean', since to me that means more of an athletic than a weightlifting build.

I think you are right. I'll have to double check the text. There are numerous typos I'm sure. My idea for him was to have a very pronounced swimmer's build in that he had large shoulders and back muscles and a small waist and long legs. I'm not sure I quite hit that mark. I'll probably change his description to say "Top physical condition" or something similar. What do you think of the dragon in the background?

Actually, I just remembered something: there's one picture I remember that I thought was a perfect representation of a lean, super-athletic mustelid. Max Black Rabbit did a take on some of Shawntae Howard's "Extinctioners", and two of his characters are weasels-- not otters, true, but in the same family or genus and roughly the same body profile. I even colored it, a long time ago.

I don't know if you could use it, but I think it's fairly unique as anthro art goes. He's got a long neck and abdomen, as well as long legs, but doesn't look skinny or twiggy by any means. The suit does make the muscular definition a bit intense, but in any event it's practically an anatomical lesson in itself.

He's pretty damn muscular too. I see what you are saying and I'm going to keep refining the character's body design. I'm used to drawing males very muscular almost like a bodybuilder but I'm trying to steer from that. My concept of Gemini is that he is not incredibly muscular and more athletic looking but I keep drawing him the same way. It's a work in progress for me. Thanks for the reference!

Thanks. I have that as a seperate piece of art and I've been toying with the idea of submitting it seperately as its own deviation but I'm not sure. I drew and colored it kind of fast because I wanted to hurry up and submite the pisces piece. What do you think?

There is only the teaser comic in my gallery of Taurus vs. Nightmare. I don't have any comics for these characters drawn up yet. At least not anything suitable for DA. I'll be playing with that soon. Only problem is that I never know how much people like my comics. I've submitted a couple comics here but I can't tell how much people like them because they rarely generate faves. See the Acolyte comic and the Mika comic in my gallery.

I think I'm going to do some kind of comic work with the Zodiac I've created. There are just too many thoughts going on in my head and thanks to the time I've spent drawing them for DA, I've had a chance to refine their personalities and appearances. Till then, we'll have to wait and watch.
