Description
This is my second concept piece from a suggestion to my recent journal query. At least this started from a suggestion by *Grondhammar to have different things growing from a terracotta pot. I ended up with the idea of what might happen when a child buries his/her “treasure”. You know—every kid has things that they treasure most, that to adults may seem like insignificant toys or even junk. This time, the idea unfolded almost in complete story format, but I’ll quickly summarize: a child decides to bury the treasure “like a real pirate” (I even have real pirate gold, mommy!), and finds the perfect place in the ground underneath an unused flower pot (the pot on my map marks the spot!), and then I thought how fitting it would be if from those buried pieces of treasure, flowers would grow bearing real treasure…jewels.I know, as a whole, flowers out of a flower pot is not a creative spin on the original concept, but once I had the buried treasure/jewel flower idea, it might as well have been written in stone—it had to be that. I have to say that with all of the individual pieces in this, it ended up being quite complex. And I did not have as much time to devote to it as I might have liked…there are still things that could be done…but this has taken over my brain for the last two weekends, and has been my dinner during my only available hour during each weekday, so it’s better that I call it complete. And I’m pretty happy with the result.
…All of that monologue to say THANK YOU, Sean, for sparking this idea in my mind. I had fun visualizing it and making it come to life.

I love the idea and how you executed it! Reminds me of how I buried nearly half of my toys in my garden when I was little

You have no idea: it took me TWO HOURS to set up the links for all those references!
But it was worth it—I think every digital artist should give reference to the people that made their piece possible. I just hope I can keep improving my work. Thank you so much.

It's always a relief to be done with a big project like this. Congratulations to your free time!
This is very eye-catching, and exploring it deeply (no pun intended) is very rewarding. Nice integration of a lot of different pieces. At first I couldn't figure out why the centres of the flowers looked so shiny and faceted It's very unexpected. Also, nice work "burying" everything down there too, I like the lower contrast and dark space.
Great job, what fun!

It is a definite relief! Thank you for the great feedback. Getting everything to look buried was a real bugger, and I wasn't sure how it would look to others. (I get such tunnel vision when I'm working on it that I lose all perspective.)
Thanks again for the idea.

Amazing
It's beautiful, I adore the brilliant colors, they make Spring. And indeed charming the idea of a kind of "secret garden" where to make to grow the own dreams (or at least this is my interpretation ).
After all, this is my preferred between that they have used my Stocks. Thank you

Thank you! Yes, I envisioned it as kind of a secret or forgotten area, too. Once the treasure was buried, maybe it was forgotten...
I'm glad you like how I used the stock.
