I'm in a huge Touhou Project mood lately, so I decided to draw a Touhou Project character I really like.I drew Meira from Touhou Project, a beautiful samurai who first debuted in Touhou Project - Story of Eastern Wonderland.
I imagine that she likes to go for a walk in the forest, mostly to take a break from her samurai training. She's so pretty and beautiful!
Meira has always been one of my favorite Touhou characters, since I first discovered her back in 2016. I still love her to this day, and is probably my 4th favorite from the series. Apart from her beautiful and elegant looks, I also really love her design and her personality too. Her theme song is also really good too!
I imagine that spring is Meira's favorite season, so I went for a cherry blossom theme for this illustration. It seems that she does enjoy the cherry blossoms in the forest. By the way, I would admit that I struggled drawing her hair correctly. I tried many variants of how I would've drawn her hair, but I didn't liked any of them.
Speaking of Touhou, I do have plans to draw some of my other favorites from it someday, including the ones from the PC-98 games.
Fun fact: Back in 2018, I used to be in a big Meira mood, where I would draw her a lot.
