This is amazing. The shading really brings out the life in the picture. Her expression blends in with the bandages giving the whole thing a 'hurt' feeling. The wing-bones give her a miserable feeling. Altogether, this picture brings out art's true feeling. You deserve a favorite my good friend.

Yes it is! Most people these days draw a mix of cartoon and anime. They forget the shading and everything is so dark and dull. They don't conjure up what art really is. I think that isn't real art.

Yes, I know that. But sometimes people think something isn't art when it is and sometimes they think something is art when it isn't! It's so frustrating! I know that people have different views but.. it's like if a person looks at a stapler and they be like, 'THATS GREAT ART!'

haha true, it just depends on what you do to the stapler. A previous artist, Duchamp, had this issue when he submitted his piece Fountain and got so much hate. he just basically bought a urinal, flipped it upside down, and signed his name. Though I don't really like his piece neither (lol) i think he was trying to convey a point that art doesnt have to be about "artistic genius" or how well you can paint.Β
ok I'm getting into this too much xD I have an art history I'm taking right now (for the first time) so it's like in my system to criticize/comment on artistic views. plus midterm next week hahaha harΒ

Yes, some people do that. But why would they ruin a good art reputation just to tell certain people that art can be in any size, shape, or form??? In my opinion, art is art. I know sometimes it really doesn't count but all art is art. X3

And it's okay XD I don't take art but I've been an artist since I was about 3 so this stuff is natural to me. I hope that someday I can go into my art and music career. But mostly because of the art~

very nice shadowing and coloring, though concept of broken angel wings w. bandages has been overdone. You do put in your own style though
