oh yeah..you have peat over there....we mostly just use it in gardening...we don't burn it, as far as I know..

I don't know if there is a difference..but, I think peat moss is not so old...as peat...but it is the same otherwise...I don't know where it comes from, but I think Canada.

Thanks, Anne. I think I know what you mean. It looks a bit like what was called "American Night" in the old movies. As they didn't have high speed film to actually shoot at night, they used very strong filters to fake night shoots.
