good that time is past... i admit i was too young and the u.s. too turbulent itself at the time of the carnation revolution for me to grasp it when it occurred.
you know what is odd is that the u.s.a. needs a democratic revolution right now but we have no conceptual basis for one because in theory we are already a democracy. we have a slight degree of democracy, but we are basically a plutocratic oligarchy mixed with a police state as our leaders dream of fascism.
