Well when you think about it she is almost exactly like Anakin/Vader right down to the scar over their right eye and they both serve an even more evil Master Storm King and Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious whom both Vader and Tempest caused to fall to their deaths trying to save someone they cared about. Luke and Twilight and in the end with the exception of Tempest it cost them their own life as well. They even turned to the darkside for almost the same reasons, because of rejection by their peers. Of course Tempest wasnβt also trying to save her husband or wife from dying.

Omg, you're right! There is really a big similarity between these two. Another similarity is that both got new names after they turned evil. Anakin was now Darth Vader and Fizzlepop Berrytwist became Tempest Shadow. Maybe Hasbro really took inspiration from Vader ^^

There's so much crossover already and I don't disagree. As a villain she's just badass. I now know how those OT purists felt when Darth Vader first came into their lives (And I still find their Prequel hate annoying). I'm willing to see more of her. Be it for hero or villain. Be it in a sequel movie or a later season. She may even appear in an episode with the Cutie Mark Crusaders where they ask what her cutie mark is. It's not out of the realm of possibility for her to not have a cutie mark. The ancient beast trader from the episode 'Trade ya' didn't have a cutie mark and that piqued my interest. As Zecora would say; "Questions like these leave us in suspense. The moment we're answered could be quite intense."
