Dont really understand why you would call this a failure I like the playful gesture marks and the shading done. The form is well established when chibi is the goal its very cute and well done actually. Only thing that really sticks out as a thing I would fix persay is the feet give her a bit more of a sturdy base feet are generally at least as wide as the ankles it would just add that bit of flow to things. Bravo all in all.
