I really enjoy the magic circle in this. It really catches your eyes when you look at it. However I feel as if the crystals are trying to grab your attention as well but end up just kind of hanging around there. The background just doesn't seem to really have much of an impact as it should. Though its a really outstanding shade of violet, it keeps to more blend with Patchouli rather than either giving her the spotlight or contribute to her position (if that makes sense. . . )
Onto Patchouli herself, I think the usage of more clothing wrinkles would do very nicely. It's give more depth and a nicer feel to it. The ruffles are very nice though, I enjoy their shape.~ (Idontevenknow). Her impression could use some improvement. I think Patchouli as a very serious person who would have a look of disdain when she's conjuring up her magic. c:
All in all, I think this is a very lovely piece~ Judging for this, I'm sure your future art will be ten times more impressive~ :3c

Wow, you really got her design spot on! A lot of people forget her little bows and some parts of her gown, but you included everything! It also helps that you drew my third favorite Touhou character! XD ย Well done, and you deserve *hugs*

If I had a critique it would be that the legs don't seem to be in the right place, they seem to be angled to much to the left or just sticking out of the dress, not sure how that fits with the pose...but the whole body may be angled a little to the right. That stuck out to me...

I just love Patchouli. I would just love to snuggle her when she needed someone to hug her. (Koakuma too so she won't be left out) And I would always keep an eye around when im there too.

She's a bit too skinny, and her legs don't match up with the rest of the body in terms of skinniness. Other than proportion, it's really good! I wish I could do digital art ;__; seeing things like this makes me sad because it makes me realize my incommpetence in technology.
