Description
INTRODUCING Three of the Eight Elemental Dragon Gods ( Four if you count Nereus from before ) The Orsian Gods.Top right: FREYA- Elemental Dragon of Power. She's pink and purple with silver and black leopard print, her skin texture more amphibian like rather than reptile, and she's short and stubby but full of teeth. Not to mention can lift a building with no effort. Her VESSEL of power is TIRA.
Middle Left: VESTA- Elemental Dragon of FIRE. Hates her VESSEL Cerridwen, but hates basically everything else. Sort of an antagonist in the story. She's the alpha of the gods, and is a terrifying force not to be reckoned with. (SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE.... T_T)
Colourwise- She skin will be red, bleeding into oranges and yellow at the paler places, with black reptilion tiger-like stripes- her eyes are this bright, reptilian green, and her hair is multi-toned from red to purple. Her horns, I think I may go with a crimson red.
Bottom Right: SOLA (or SOLARIS)- Elemental Dragon of LIGHT- Kat is her VESSEL. Although Solaris is peacful and serene, she can be quite rebellious and devious when she wants to be. And she has special affections for her opposite force, YANUS the Elemental Dragon of DARKNESS.( Who is very sexy. I needs to post his design soon)
Colours: Her skin is a pale golden yellow. her markings are a soft gold that is only visible in the light. Her eyes golden as her lips, and her hair is white. Horns will be gold
I cannot really describe hoe awesome the colours for these characters are until I ACTUALLY get them done
I still have YANUS (Dark), INDRA( Thunder), GAIUS(Earth) and AURORA (Wind) to post.

So, what is a vessel?
Are they beings that harbour the Dragon Gods' powers, or am I missing something here? 9w6

Basically the Elements are just a containers holding part of the Dragon God's souls- Instruments fighting the war, so the God's don't have to get their hands dirty.

So they just throw their vessels at each other to sort out their problems? Nice. xD

The god's choose a souless human (mortal vessel)- A human who has died. Then plant their godly seed (It ain't pervy either *although it sounds like..*) into that mortal vessel. This seed is basically a fragment of the god's soul, passing on the powers and such, which grow over a period of time.
But yeah... basically the God's just make them do all the dirty work...

So the gods' vessels are an extension of themselves in a sense?
Planting their godly seed. Giggity.
I've been thinking of doing something similar for my Ancients for a long time, although I don't want to use 'Vessel' because someone else I know has vessels for her Ancients, and it would sound like I'm just copying you with the whole vessel idea thing. Maybe I could have something like Priestesses or something, though it'd be a bit silly to have a priestess serving a priestess (Not to mention one of them is a goddess who was a priestess. How mind boggling is that?)

Oh oh! These gods are getting cooler and cooler! The colors seem perfect for each and I really want to see the color versions! If I had to pick a favorite it would be Vesta. HEr design is awesomely simple. <3

Vesta and Solaris are probably the best for sure (especially in character) Vesta is nasty as hell though- a major antagonist to Cerridwen and a major influence to why Cerridwen is so unstable.
Vesta cares little for the VESSELS- The elements are to her are just containers to their powers, and do all the god's dirty work for them. (refers of them as: Vessels, instruments, puppets and pawns) The god's are never to associate a bond with their Vessel, and say their name in the presence of the gods. But the other gods (Solaris) don't exactly LISTEN when Vesta is around. And some of them have developed respect and admiration to their Vessels.
And Eros...well he always does the OPPOSITE, and really doesn't care about pissing of the the primordial gods of the beginning of creation... Although Solaris gets a kick out of it...

Aha. I do enjoy the hate relationship between Vesta and her vessel, Cerridwen. That will create much enjoyment in the story. And how she thinks of them doing the dirty work for the God's would be my look at them too. You made very likeable characters and their personalities do mimick the deamoners and traits of real life people. Your comic is going to be fucking awesome. <3

Do the vessels tend to take some character from their element giving counterparts?

Some do. Like Solaris is almost a (kinder and elegant) spit of Kat. Nereus is like a grandfather to Nola, and is pretty protective. Freya is like a child form of Tira, (that wants to knaw on everything she deems edible- like Van...) but not drunk 24/7 as Tira is.
Neurus is like an over-protective grandfather to Nola- protecting her innocence
Rest of the dragons follow the rules of not associating with their vessels as beings, more as objects of war (Rule of Vesta) and Vesta absolutely abhors Cerridwen and won't even summon her to the god's temple- she is the main reason why Cerridwen is...unstable.
The god's are not even supposed to call their Vessel by name and well... when Vesta isn't looking, most of the gods ignore that rule
And Eros....well his first meeting with the gods had him disobey and disrespect every rule (ON PURPOSE)-This pissed Vesta off but Solaris found it mildly amusing... he's the only man alive who would purposely piss of a primordial god, not give a shit and get away with it.
