Something I'm playing with currently.. Really felt like doing a portrait this morning, so on and off today I've been working on Alan Rickman as Snape. Love the way he's come out, now trying to pin down an ethereal, patronus doe for Lily. O_o; Which is being a struggle.Would love any suggestions!

Oo, very nice! I like how the portrait came out. The textures really give it an ethereal quality that fits the subject matter perfectly. Snape's eyes are also very well done. As for the doe, I think it fits together with Snape nicely.
Now entering tutor mode:
Pretty much any suggestions I can make refer to the doe. I suggest making the doe's eyes a tiny bit bigger and lengthening the snout (depending on species). Add more lights and shadows beneath the ears to add more foreshortened distance from the eyes. The contours are good. Overall, it is a beautiful deer.

As for the type of deer, I honestly have no idea what species it is. I googled does, and looked for images that seemed more delicate and feminine.. So I guess she's just a generic doe.
