A book I made for a friend so she can keep all her memories of Edinburgh in it. It took me quite a while, because she wasn't too keen on my initial ideas + I wanted it to be special.Lamb leather, artist paper (I think it has a bit more than 90 pages), waxed cotton string, cotton fabric, leather string, one stone with the Scotland flag on it, flour paste.

I gave it my best. I originally wanted to braid the whole S, but that would have wrenched the leather out of shape (as you can already see happen a little at the bottom). The S stands for many things at once: the owner's name starts with it, it's to be a memory collection of her time in Scotland where she studies Sociology, she was born in Sweden... It just fits.

I think it looks great, it's very well done! The cover really does tell such a significant story, especially after hearing that.
