Description
First part of an art trade with , my Sol and her Sol interacting! I was originally going to do something slightly different, but this just happened, and it's just perfect for the two sols!Zephy's Sol is taking a well earned rest after a long day of fighting baddies, when my Sol stops by, and of course decides that what her fellow Sol soldier needs is a great big hug! Which is nice and everything, except that Sol has no idea about decency, personal space and human behaviour. And yes, she is doing some serious groping there. To her defence she doesn't get that it's not appropriate, she's being groped on the subway all the time, of course it's just another way of showing affection, right?
I think you can get what Zephy's girl feel about that sentiment. But what else can you except from a short little fire-cracker?
If anyone asks, I did it for the lulz!
Sol (c) me
Sol (c)
Sailor Moon (c) Naoko Takeuchi
You can tell which is which, right?

OMG I love it. That so gives me an idea. teeeheehee.
Yeah, that would be my Sol's reaction. She loves her personal space, and although she is bi, she doesn't like univited contact. Random boob grope would just light the short fuse that is her temper. Love love love. They look so cute together, and I love the subtle differences in their skin tone.

Thank you, glad you like it! Yeah, Sol doesn't understand personal space at all, and certainly not that some parts of other people shouldn't just be touched randomly. She thinks "grope" is just another word for hug.

The little stars depicting each Senshi is such a nice detail. Not your Sol is running away from your Sol as fast as she can!
Although, they are stars. So would it be shooting away? *is shot*
Gotta love aliens and their lack of human culture knowledge. XD At least the Starlights did research first...(or acted like that did. Maybe they just have a really similar culture?)

Hehe, thank you! Actually, my Sol in the bottom is being kicked by *DarkZephyrMoon 's Sol! So, a true shooting star!
I imagine that they did have a rather similar culture as the one on earth. Sol's problem is mainly that she's been leaving all alone, since everyone else was destroyed along with the Silver Millennium. So it's possible that she at one time knew how to behave properly, it's just all forgotten!

Oh! I see.
I have one alien Senshi myself, although I haven't done much with her. Strictly anime, as she was born from the conjecture that Ail and An weren't the only survivors of their race (idea was born from the R movie).
Fiore survived due to a special flower (probably from the Makaiju). I argue Sailor Forain survived due to her star seed. (Yesh, Forain is a play of the same thread as Ail and An. It sounds like a slightly mispronounced version of "foreign". )

I'm just shocked I've never seen one based on that race before!
Yeah, I thought it echoed the lameness of Ail and An quite well. XD

Yeah, they do seem to be rare. I have seen one other, but that's about it. Then again, I have never gone searching for them either I suppose!

Oh, at least there is another. *phew*
You'd think they'd be somewhat close to "Sailor Suns" or a "let's not be 100% original but not follow the leader" thing either. (Don't get me wrong, I ADORE well-done Sailor Suns. Sakky-chan's is my all time favorite, probably because in one of my fics Helios has the sun's star seed. )

I love interesting and well-done takes on "clichΓ©" senshi, it's really cool to see all the different things people come up with within the same idea. Sakky's Sailor Sol is awesome, and so pretty!

galacticpink In reply to elila [2009-05-01 11:58:32 +0000 UTC]
Well, Helios had to get it from somewhere!
I actually have a team of "cliche" Senshi, my four elemental ones. Although the way I intertwined them with the pre-Silver Millenium Earth and their connection to Earth's star seed is pretty original if I do say so myself. Poor Mamoru. >_> Getting in trouble for actions taken by his past life's ancestors, of all things. XD

Ack, poor guy!
Well, clichΓ©s are clichΓ©s for a good reason, it doesn't mean it can't be done well, or interesting! I have a list of the most standard senshi (sol, star, earth etc) that I'm working on getting through, just because it's fun!

XD Yeah, the way the Earth was united under one kingdom wasn't exactly...peaceful. The four last strongholds were those created by the four priestesses of the Earth'e elements. If they hadn't fought to defend the safe haven they had made for those who didn't want the Earth united and refugees from the war, they would have survived. But they were good girls (women, actually) who stuck by their ideals and thus were struck down. They decided that when they were reborn (an accepted fact by the Moon people and their young ruler Queen Serenity, but not nearly as much by many Earth folk) they would take revenge on the throne of Earth. They were friends with young Serenity, too, and it was partly due to the whole mess that Serenity forbade interaction with the Earth (which would cause problems later on with her future daughter!)
They didn't realize it would be uncountable years in the 20th century and without their past life memories they would be reborn! And in a twist of fate, the love of Usagi that purified Galaxia is what allowed the starseeds of each girl to regain the ability to become Senshi (a complicated thing dealing with their first past lives as priestesses of planets on the edge of the Milky Way and the blowing up of said planets weakened their star seeds. This is why in the pre-Silver Millenium Earth they were not Senshi. Usagi's power basically allowed all the star seeds Galaxia had captured to be powered up to the point of being able to support a Senshi. The seeds, which I argue have their own spiritual type intelligence seperate from their holders, forcefully split themselves to avoid what they perceived would overload their bearers due to the sudden spike in power).
Of course, that power wasn't even needed until Sophia/Sailor Dryad stayed late in a greenhouse in her Tokyo College (she is American, attending college in Japan on scholarship) and was attacked as the trees came to life and the other half of her star seed took the form of a dryad and granted her the power to unite the pieces of star seed and become a Senshi.
It's only after all four of them get together and an event causes Tuxedo Kamen to take his royal form that they remember their past, and not only have to deal with their enemy, the five dark priestesses, but their hatred of the throne of Earth. Of course, Usagi doesn't take the whole "We want to kill Endymion" thing all that well.
The story is very heavily anime based as you could probably tell

I'm not too knowledgeable about the anime, so I probably wouldn't be able to tell! Sound interesting, though!

Oh, wow.
Yeah, there are some details here and there that rely on the anime. The whole way their star seeds became capable of making them Senshi is drawn from the anime. The fight with Galaxia was quite different in the anime (due to the diffent ways Chaos was handled).
The Galaxy Cauldron wasn't even mentioned in the anime! Also, Chibichibi's true identity was completely blown to pieces. From disguise form of Cosmos (who DID NOT appear in the anime, as Naoko once said. Yes, a sillouhette very similar to her appeared, but it was a grown up form Chibichibi rather than a true form of Chibichibi. In the anime, Chibichibi was nothing but a personified form of a star seed!) to Galaxia's star seed! XD
The reason I have to specify a difference between star seed autonomy and their owner is due to the Elemental Senshi acting in a sort of opposition to the best interests of their star seed. Due to the symbiotic (uh, two organisms partnered for mutual benefit) relationship between the elemental star seeds and Earth's star seed, anything unhealthy done to the star seed of Earth has negative echoes on the elemental star seeds. Which would mean not good things during the Dream arc if I were to manga-fy my Senshi. XD
