Hi! No, they don't hurt. But they are rather thick, so you have to try it maybe for few times, or watch videos how to put them on. They are really fantastic, and must-have item to impress people

"Viscerally disturbing"--which I think is exactly the effect you were going for. There's a sense of the unnatural couched within the natural, compounded by the vulnerability of being a surgical patient and the frightful power of doctors, that makes this image creepy.
