Description

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that my university Biology course has minors and that through my Environment and Durability minor I now have a geology class where we examine and recognise rocks. I've always seen magic as easy to compare to sand and boulders, but now that I actually know some rocks it sounded fun to make this little infographic!

This is also a new style I wanted to try out. Kinda happy with the eyes, anatomy, expressions, poses, and hands in these. The handy thing about my more simplistic styles is that I can ignore the details of anatomy to push my poses, and it's slowly starting to work! Feedback on the poses is always welcomed ;v;

And if you've more questions about the actual worldbuilding in this, I'll be happy to answer them <:

An addition to light and darkness: it goes both ways, not only light against darkness. A less dark mage can infuse their magic into a darker mage and it'd still reduce the overall darkness of their body and wreak some havoc. Imagine it as literally mixing the two colours of the whites and blacks; the further the two are apart, the more devastating the effect of the infusion.

Oooh I like it.  It's a very tangible way to explain your magic system :>

Thank you, friend! I've heard there's some complexity in it already so it could've been better, but for now this one seems to do the trick at explaining exactly how these work ;v;

I love it . I'm always intrigued by creative and unusual magic systems (having created several of those throughout the decades). Nice read and nicely drawn presentation.

Thank you very much! My magic system is one of my favourite things to worldbuild, because there are so many options that allow me to test my knowledge of physics and chemistry while still combining them with properties I invented myself and think about how they'd react with each other ;v;

I love warm dry sand on the beach.

Warm dry sand is a pleasure to walk through until it reaches near boiling temperatures! I still remember those walks on the beach as a child where I had to dash towards the cold, wet sand the sea had cooled down just to stop my feet from burning c':
