Great poem....You can't always expect someone to be there for you, but you can expect them to be there for you sometimes. Maybe the person needed comforting of their own or perhaps they were having a rough day, too?

Me friends all go to school so, with the semester nearly ending, they wouldn't be having the calmest day. I talked to one of me hallmates (Pancake) and she said I could come to her at any time of the day. aka I could've gone over to her room to talk last night.

...Ugh... Step-Dad's... that's all I'll say there.
It's true, to a certain extent, that we have to face ourselves alone, but there are some people who can actually be helpful, they're just few and far between. And no one person, in my experience, has ever been able to ALWAYS be there when I need them. They have lives too, and sometimes the timing just sucks doesn't it???

Yeah. There have been people that have been there for me, but just sometimes when I'm down no one is there. At least none of the people I really depend on. I understand they have lives, just wish they could be there when I really needed them.

I know, it's very hard to feel alone when you're in need. My best friend was on vacation in europe and completely non-communicado for a month after my grandmother died and then my boyfriend of three years left me *shakes head* that sucked.
