Description Let the author write what she will
Let the romance of words
Flutter in through the windows
And out through the hands
Let those who judge
Write in their own hands
And not talk
Without walking

The last two lines: do they suggest that critics actually be writers? It's kinda the impression I was getting, and I wanted to make sure I was interpreting it right.

Yeah. Saying that they should be writers. Or at least have taken a try at writing. That's the reason why I feel more comfortable reviewing writing to reviewing drawings. I just feel that those who do something, such as writing, have a better understanding of what they're talking about.

It's suggesting that critics shouldn't criticize if they haven't taken that walk themselves. They don't know what it's like until they try it.
