THERE. DONE. FINISHED.Just for the record, I had Astronomy until 10pm tonight (or last night now) and I came home and sat here for a good 3+ hours to finish this. Graahh....yet I'm not tired....hmm.
ALRIGHT. So this can be any generic Eragon and Murtagh fighting for whatever reasons and such. However, their wounds do reflect their battle that takes place at the end of Inheritance (as does their surroundings).
There's one flaw to that, which I'm sure a number of you will jump at the chance to "inform me". So I'll beat you to it.
Which is: they don't use magic in this fight. So why is Eragon using Brisingr?
Because I want artistic license man, and it looks a lot more exciting this way, trust me. So yes, I know. Besides I think it defines them both a lot more, like, as riders. And I haven't drawn Eragon with a flaming Brisingr in ages :C
I don't know.
Despite this blazing flaw I honestly think it makes the art piece.
So yea, an epic fight between our lovely brothers. Enjoy~
Also, damn, I think I did a good job making them look handsome and sexy man.
And I'm going to go watch my new episode of Guilty Crown now. I deserve it.
PS: Eragon is still sexier.

(Lol star wars comparing to Inheritance, who would have thought?) In any case I would have their expressions both be one of anger, with a laughing Galby in the background. And above Eragon would be a picture of Brom's face, and Morzan's above Murtagh, with the dads staring each other down angrily also. Kind of like with the theme of the sons doing the same thing their fathers did once. And in a sense, that is what Galby would be laughing at in the background, the irony of it all. Would be awesome, *nudge nudge*
Either that or I would have drawn a pic similar in structure to your topless riders pic. Well, not in terms of them being sexy or anything, but with the idea that they all have their own spot in the image separated by different colors and stuff. Anyways, the picture would be of each rider with their dragons hatching and their reactions. Would also be quite awesome, *nudge nudge*

That being said, I was on a kind of Legend of Zelda spree and was relating everything I saw with LoZ
Also, the art is very well executed, it portrays the scene almost perfectly.

Yea, he has since TP. But Eragon is always depicted in mail (I've been drawing him with it since before tp....), so it's not like I had a choice.

I've always figured that Link wore mail in all of them and that the poly count was just to low to render it in the earlier games. However, you make a valid point.

Nice picture! Is it a bad thing that I thought "Fus Ro DAH!" when I saw the close up thing you posted earlier??? Well, I've been SWAMPED with homework this weekend. Lucky for me, I'm getting a book report on any book I like! (spirited tricky hoo hoo hoo!) So, It's good, and I agree that Eragon IS manlier, because I have a man-crush. Role-model, biatch. I'll admit, you make Eragon look sexier, but when I'm reading, he's not haha
I really like this. My favorite part is the wounds/blood. To me, it's the most realistic part and it makes it (okay, the brisingr sword does too, but it just reminds me of Azula's blue lightning from the Avatar series).
Some parts, like the capes, look a little rushed, but I think it works. It makes it look like there's more movement.
And on a final note...is Eragon cross eyed? I can't tell from just looking but I looked at the full size and he almost looked cross eyed...haha it's sorta funny...

Eragon is described as beautiful in Eldest, so I'm pretty sure he's sexy. Plus, a ton of the varden women go nuts for him, no?
That's just how I draw capes, although, yes in part it's due to lack of detail for movement. Too much and they'd look stiff.
And I don't think so? It might be the bridge of his nose, as we don't see his entire left eye.

This is beautifully done, and I really like the soft lighting sort of look mixed with the close detail. The textures all look amazing. And more than that, I think you definitely captured a lot in regards to each of their characters. Awesome piece.
