Le sigh. A TON of you guys voted for Eragon and Murtagh on my newest poll. I knew this was going to happen.Why?
Because you are all in love with Murtagh. WHICH is why I put both Eragon and Murtagh together as a poll option. Because I love Eragon.
I wasn't planning on drawing this, as the REAL art piece with the two of them will come, but some of you wanted to see them battling it out...And I suddenly realized that I haven't drawn an action scene....

I really do draw them all the time, but they aren't the nicest sketches...so I never post them:/
ANYWAYS, there you go. Two handsome men battling to the death. They are fighting. They are brothers.
I can't really make any crude or sex related jokes with this like I usually do. Mostly because there isn't any Arya in this. And I'm not going to do that Yaoi business.
It's what made me stop reading Inheritance Fan Fictions back in 2007, pre-Brisingr. I'm not kidding. The stuff was everywhere. People who read IC fics back then will remember.
Although, I suppose both Arya and Nasuada, who are watching from afar, are quite....enjoying this sight. They are like, holy shit, my man is hot.
And no, I'm not going to draw Nasuada and Murtagh together. Sorry.
I may or may not colour this. Whether before or after my other Eragon and Murtagh piece. Also, this Eragon isn't as manly as usual...

Because I don't like Nasuada. Thus do not really care for that ship--and I'm not going to draw something I don't like.
It's true though--no yaoi. Yuri, yes. But not in the Inheritance cycle.

Haha Okay, I respectfully disagree with you on that. I really like Nasuada. I grew to have a lot of respect of her character. Arya on the other hand... Ugh. For some reason, I just really don't like her. (Though I know you really liked her from all your art descriptions. lol)
I think it was 'The trail of Long Knives' that made me start to really like Nasuada. ^_^
Just curious though, what made you not like Nasuada?

I don't particularly like any of the IC characters, but favour both Arya and Eragon more (followed by a random set of characters--Murtagh is also kinda meh for me). I mostly like Arya for my own head canon for her.
I started to dislike Nasuada in Eldest because her chapters were boring as hell. And then Brisingr made it worse (I did not like the Trial of the Long Knives and she was pretty bitchy to Eragon(Eragon was still acting like a child though)). I just generally don't like her, nothing is appealing. Her freaky 2 pages in Inheritance about fingernails cemented all of this.

Hummm.... I guess I can see why that would be annoying. But after all the politics in the beginning of Eldest, I guess I knida built up a tolerance for the politics and huge descriptions that he would give, then slowly even grew to like it (except when they were choosing the next Dwarf king. SOOOO long. -_-).
What I really liked about Nasuada was that she reached out to the Urgals and Kull and made that treaty with them. It was so brave of her, especially when everyone hated her for it. It had to take guts.
Ah well, agree to disagree I guess. I still like your picture. Really well done, both this one and the coloured version.

I love it.
I tought Murtagh is the favourite character of the majourity of girls. But, when i questionned my "real" friends (not internet), they all told me "My favourite character is Eragon !"
Yes it's right, i love Murtagh BUT i love Eragon too !
In the book, or movies i always prefer the "bad character"... not my friends apparently xD

Eragon is popular too! Although he is a close second to Arya for me! And bad characters are awesome, so I agree there too.

Some others mentioned it too(but yes I listened)/I've been bothered to draw something like this for years:/ Finally gave in.
And yes, they have clothes on, usually they do....excluding my recent fan service images XD
Brisingr has always been so much fun to draw! I don't follow the canon art/design for it though, I just do my own thing.

I'm glad you aren't going to draw Nasuada and Murtagh, I could never support that as a pairing. Honestly I only think it happened because Paolini needed some romance because NOTHING HAPPENED BETWEEN ERAGON AND ARYA. AFTER ALL THAT BUILD UP, NOTHING. That, and it was character development for Murtagh.
