So...here is a Full group shot from our death note skit. Hooray for our first Skit as a cosplay group! The Otaku Engine started with a bang. WE got First place or our skit! yay.Cast includes:
Ryuuk: ~Rurouni-Strife

all costumes (Except for Misa) where made by me. The photo was taken on our tripod in timer mode.

I'm glad that you liked it! It was hard work trying to rangle everyone together for practice and the trying to finish costumes on time nearly killed me...but it was worth it!

Yep! We were indeed. That skit nearly killed me! Between writing, sound editing, making the costumes, and dragging people to rehearsals...But it was worth it! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I was worried nobody would get it. lol.

I Love the random dead guy..and those guys skit was so funny I heard...(I was in the backstage at this point getting ready to go on stage with Rem and Ryuk)

Lol, well. It was a cast photo and he was part of the cast...so he got to be in the shot!
we had fun doing it! Though, it was hard to get everyone to get together for practice....and I almost said "screw it!" a couple times. But in the end it was worth it! ...making all those costumes really took it's toll though. I did a lot of sleeping after that con! lol.

Yep! We will be there next year. I'm not sure what the plan is yet, we are putting our focus into a photoshoot series right now. But I think we at least have a show decided on.

I missed a few of the skits (And I couldn't find them on Youtube!) but there were definitely some god performances this year (Mind you this was my first banzai, so I don't know what the con was like previous). I do wish they would change the back ground though. Too much Black! Everyone dissapeared into the back ground!

Well..Helsing is one that you don't usually see a lot of cosplayers from. Actual for how small Banzai was I was amazed at how many we had! The last few cons I have been to I have only seen one, maybe two. of course, I could be looking in the wrong places...

true that. when i went to vegas 2006 everyone was a hellsing character cause the creater was there. you couldn't take a single picture of anyone without finding a hellsing cosplayer in the background. it was insane!

My first Anime Vegas was in 2007 so I missed that madness. I did, however, see the Kingdom hearts/Naruto craze.

Yeah, I was roped into AV 2007 (I was born and raised in Vegas, I moved away 7 years ago) and then 2008...well, I had to go back and defend my title! lol.
I'm still kind of amazed at how many cons we have hit (We are starting our second year of cosplay, so we don't really have norm set yet). Yeah, we like to have rooms mates at cons to make things cheaper...though we have had trouble finding people that want to go, and will stick with it. A lot of people want to go, but bail at the last minute and that just sucks!

Yeah that does suck. One of my friend's has a sister in vegas so we don't have to find a hotel. So that saves us a lot! And i could've had enough money but i'd already gone to illinois to see my boyfriend this year and i'm trying to go see him in virginia when the next con hit's his town. Cause we're trying to do a SeresXpip cosplay. lol

YEah, we stay with my cousin part of the time, but my Cospay was too big this year and the hotel was unavoidable.

Not sure! lol. We were in the MAsquerade, but we weren't all together unil just before the show. I spent most of the day assembling Ryuuk and keeping Otaku Engine members in Line!
