"Let's talk, I won't bite."Fua.... I practiced drawing background without having to use Photoshop this time. There are so many things wrong with this artwork. You guys can have a drinking game in finding them. Want an example? The flowers are all facing the camera. There, you're welcome.

From an outsider's pov, the background looks lovely (and I don't think anybody noticed the flowers until you said something and even then, it doesn't look bad)

Just... practice, keep practicing, look at tutorials of anatomy, shading, color theory, backgrounds, anything!

At least you can do way better backgrounds than what I can do!(I always stick with transparent backgrounds...)
Except the thing is... Everytime I draw a character, I don't know what background to put them in unless I got an idea of what may be suitable... 030

Awwww I see... You should look at environments more often, look at photos or something. To me, sometimes, I imagine the background first before the character so I can make an artwork with background.

Well, i'm only good at simple backgrounds... Like the fake backgrounds that's right behind you when getting your picture taken for example? Even though I noticed one background I did, clearly didn't look simple at all..Β

I see then. Welp, blending the background with the character, especially if the character is in full-body, can be a difficult task if you have little skill when it comes to perspectives and stuff. You have to imagine it like it's in 3D or something to make it more believable.
