Description I was asked to design a light, quick loading store front for an automotive parts distributer. This is what I came up with.

Just looking for initial thoughts. I tried to go for something that was easy to navigate and would load especially quick and would be easily portable to various browsers.

Agreed. This design still has some tinkering to go through, however, the client ended up losing their contract to build a site, so this is a dead design anyways sadly.

Quite default-ish. IMO, it's not eye-catching, nor beauty. And very oldschool-ish.

You have potential to do more than this.

I quite like the small header as opposed to others. It just means that everything is equally nicely composed on the whole layout.

Interesting... I think it needs a header picture, or at least some bigger pictuture somewhere in it. Too "blank" like this imo.

Yeah, I agree. I spent some time trying to find a good header image, but came up with nothing suitable. I am working on another version as we speak that does have a header picture with a red VW R32 in it, but I want it to blend and seem like it flows hmm.

Very nice, love the elegant simplicity. I'd just suggest a bit more space between the sections, and more contrast in the section headers (maybe orange w/ white text instead of light gray w/dark gray). I like the subtle BG gradient. Nice work!

Looks nice, very clean and simple for sure.

Though, because of contrast the green and black logo up there is a focal point to me... It's not super strong due to size.
