great long exposure shot however it seems a little overexposed I might have tried this with a higher f-stop setting or in a lower light situation. besides the bit of grain i would also up the contrast just a bit. good composition keep it up

Oh, I don't feel that way at all but okay. Also this was done with a medium format camera so it doesn't quiet work the same as a 35mm.

This is simply breath taking, and the choice of B&W medium is an original slant that really does it justice

Lovely black and white ... great choice! I don't think it would work very well at all if it were color. I like it.

Ya, I spent a lot of time with a medium format camera and light meter in that area that day.

I wish I still had access to such wonderful cameras.

i like this one a lot, great "flow" hehe water's always awesome for b+w photos.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

emberleo In reply to Vidmantas [2008-04-30 04:16:13 +0000 UTC]

Definitely. Though, imo, b&w wins over all. I'm just a sucker for classic old school photography.

Vidmantas In reply to emberleo [2008-04-30 04:18:54 +0000 UTC]

They are hard to get the contrast has to be perfect or else the entire piece will be dull

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

emberleo In reply to Vidmantas [2008-04-30 04:23:04 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, even with that a lot can be done in the darkroom, but not so much that it can fix a greyed out shot.

moonfreak [2008-04-24 01:33:52 +0000 UTC]

It's nice, great angle, but I think it would have looked even better in color.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

emberleo In reply to moonfreak [2008-04-24 16:51:45 +0000 UTC]

Maybe, but then the film wasn't made for color. And I never had access to a color lab. I don't do digital photography...or didn't at that time.

emberleo In reply to Tajii-chan [2008-04-23 22:18:35 +0000 UTC]

That's no affect. Purely done with b&w film and a medium format camera. Also hand printed. It's so much fun to do photography the old-fashioned way.
