. . . now where's dessert? ^_~Eric 'Northman' from the Sookie Stackhouse Novels. The True Blood TV series is based off these books. I really don't like the TV series, however, the books are so far great
If you haven't read the books, Eric is a sexy-ass (literally, Sookie says so
) vampire who used to be a viking when he was 'alive' (and he has a great personality 
). My mom 
's him so I decided to draw her a picture 
However, after I showed my mom this painting, she informed me of a scene from one of the books that I haven't gotten to yet that I have to draw for her. It was a rather delicious scene ~yum!~ so I believe I will have to work on that next I think I am coming along well with my drawings/paintings. Hopefully I will continue to improve ^^

Hm. Sorry, I'm a nitpicker for anatomy. His torso is far too stocky and compact for Eric. He's clearly between 6'4" or 6'5" and he'd have a bit of that lankiness to him.
But it's very wonderfully rendered. I think the hair could use a bit of movement too, and his face is quite small comparing it to his shoulder span. The forward elbow is a bit strangely rendered, but perspective is always a mean bitch!

Thank you for the critique. I agree that he doesn't have the length in his torso, I am doing another picture of him now and I have made it longer ^^ And yeah, the hair. . .it's something I need to work on
Thank you for the compliment on the rendering too, this was really more a practice for coloring than anything. Literally I was just sitting around and decided that I wanted to work on coloring. And the first thing I thought of was, 'My mom likes Eric, he'd be fun to draw'

Eric is such an awesome character, just wait till you get into the fight scene and the phrase "bowling for vampires" possibly eric at his most awesome.
