Actually, it was pretty much the only puzzle I was able to do in less than fifteen minutes. (est. about ten? I can't remember)Β That being said, someone taught me how to play it in elementary school and I used to play it all the time, sooooo.... if it makes you feel better, each puzzle room takes me like, 45 minutes and then I give up and use online walkthroughs. (lol AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT)

I tried solving that puzzle within 7 minutes but i did it 30 minutes at best. My god Junpei you are the world's greatest sudoku solver.

I got to finish this one in less than an hour(but it's more than 6 minutes I tell you that). I suck at sudoku puzzles so I never try to play them at all... this game however, forced me to play. I was nervous when I played this. Poor Akane.
I had to reset this once then when I figured that the boxes below show number/symbols when you complete a box correctly, I used that as a hint and tried completing 1 box at a time(if they're correct, I won't touch them anymore). lol
But yeah, this was hard!!

I copied it onto a giant sheet of paper and spent like 4 hours doing it, it was terrible. I closed my DS because Akane and her face and the sad, sad music finally got on my nerves. I was like YES I'M SORRY I CAN'T GO ANY FASTER OKAY.

Really easy for someone used to doing them, maybe. I'd never done a sudoku before and it was terrible, it took me forever. And seeing as how canonically neither Junpei nor Akane seemed to have even heard of what they were, seems like both of them going up in flames would have been what actually happened.

It was more of a plot thing than a puzzle thing... I think it was supposed to be easy, because if you're old enough to be playing 999 you probably know how to play Sudoku...

Well, it is a number puzzle that revolves around 9, so it does make sense as being the final boss, so to speak.
But man if this crap was timed I would have been so very dead.

It was probably just because each box and row needs numbers 1-9. I think it was a nice topper to the 9 theme, personally.

I still don't understand how someone could do a sudoku puzzle upside down in 5 minutes right after they left a gun in front of complete strangers who could easily take it and kill him. Oh, Junpei, y u no have logic?

Not upside down; the way that the designers figured it, the top screen is the present and the bottom screen is the past, so they make you flip the DS to solve it because they want to imply that you do all of the work in the present, so it's just Junpei who does it.
But yeah, Jumpy isn't the sharpest crayon in the box.

Sudoku isn't math, though. It's like... process of elimination and patterns and stuff. It just uses numbers because those are 9 convenient symbols.
