Description
The final part of my Troy series, based on the cover of the novel, Troy: Fall of Kings, by David Gemmell...This peice represents Achelles (or Achilles), who is undoubtedly one of the most famous of all Greek heroes. His fatal weakness was his heel, one legend says that when he was born his mother dipped him into the waters of the River Styx to make him immortal, but she had forgotten to dip his heel by which she held him by...
The fire on the shield represents the fire that burnt down the city of Troy...

Banokles and Kalliades are easily my favourites throughout, but in all honesty, Gemmell does justice for each and every single character. No-one is left to a loose end.

Surprisingly not...I actually just took the chance of picking up a copy of Shield of Thunder since I'm a sucker for Greek mythology and I could not put it down!
